Holiday/ Celebrate
I haven't updated in awhile. Halloween was alright. I went to Hot Pink with Alysia and her cute lesbian friend Irene. Man, that place pretty much sucks. They played dance versions of crappy songs. It was like, all techno-y dance music. I heard a total of two songs I like. It was good to see some people there though. I had a few pleasant conversations.
My job training has been pretty intense. I had to take this three hour long "final" on friday to see if I get to continue. You had to get an 80% or better on it. Thank God I passed. I found out I had been assigned to the Doctoral program, so all of my students are going to be working on getting their third degree. This came as a relief, because it means I have to deal with students who already pretty much know what they are doing. This week I am setting up my cubicle. I need to go out today and find some cool stuff to put in it. A bamboo plant perhaps? Haha.
Blair just got offered a job there too, so I will soon have a carpooler and a lunch buddy.
One of the weird side effects of working there is that I feel as though my biological clock has sped up a bit. There are a lot of girls my age working there with husbands. I find myself asking to see their wedding rings and asking them about the wedding and married life, etc. I go home to Morgan and say stuff like "we should get married!". This freaks him out only slightly, and after awhile it freaks me out and I say out of the blue "no no, I don't want to get married".
The holiday season is almost upon us! I love the holidays! Especially now that I will have money to buy people gifts. I am looking forward to seeing the Nutcracker ballet this year with Morgan's family, as I have never been to a ballet. I am also looking forward to the two extra days I have off for Thanksgiving that will both be paid! Sweet.
