Neil Young kicked my ass!!!!

Yeah Yeah Yeah, that was the most kick ass experience of my life!!!! Seriously kick ass ya'll. I'm sayin, like, KICK ASSSS. Is it clear? lol The show started out with this whole Greendale concept album thing, which I'd heard before the concert on his website and wasn't too excited about, I mean, it was all accustic when I heard it on the web and I was at work and doing this and that at the same time~ and this is like, an involved storyline with characters and happenings and everything~ but in concert, it was really cool. He had this whole stage setup around and some of the characters even interacted with him while he was singing, and the chick they had representing the main character, Sun Green, was kick ass too. I'm getting my hair like hers, this pretty wave all the way down to her ass. And the grandpa character was awesome too~ his grandson in the story went to jail for killing a cop and so of course the media is like, beating this old guy's door down, so he's like "It's not my crime!" and my favorite grandpa line, "it's not an honor to be on T.V, and it's not a duty either!" GO GRANDPA!! And Neil made sure to inject plenty of suspicion of the government and respect for youth's ideals and age's wisdom and lots of satire too. The best song in that was "Someday, you'll find, everything you're looking for" beautiful!!!! It was making me really angry though, because between songs Neil had to do some background and fill in info for the story, you know. And these dumbass bastards in the audience were yelling things like SING IT NEIL! and ROCK OUT NEIL! and stuff~ and I'm like, OH MY GAWD! Neil Young came here, standing right in front of you, to show you what he made. And you don't even have the common decency to shut your fucking lunatic blowholes for a minute and listen. So after the Greendale thing~ which I almost would have been happy with standing on it's own, the rocking out began. The first song after that was from way back in the Buffalo Springfield age~ For What it's Worth (that song that says "it's time we stop, children, what's that sound, everybody look what's going down") then Powderfinger which is always AWESOME and was from Rust Never Sleeps which was recorded in concert with Crazy Horse originally in the 70's and sounds just as great with Crazy Horse now, so that was really cool. The last mention I have to make is that the last song was "My My, Hey Hey" which is also off of the Rust Never Sleeps album and KICKED FUCKING ASS. I cried. I rocked. I damn near fainted. It kicked my ass. There is an ass kicking theme to this concert. So after the concert, I was so HIGH, just absolutely fucking flying~ didn't come down till I finally managed to fall asleep back in Chico. It might have been the huge cloud of pot smoke filling the entire auditorium, but I'm pretty sure it was Neil. And then I bought a teeshirt OUTSIDE and didn't even think about it until halfway home, and now I'm totally pissed at myself. I've always vowed never to buy from those theives, and I did it without a second thought, bought one for Kristy too while I was at it, and so now I've stolen from my hero. What kind of asshole does a thing like that? *sigh* *sends check to Neil Young for $30* So, in summary, YAY!!!!!!
