Ten Things + A Survey
Today has really been a lazy day for me. Well, the last three days have been pretty lazy, since I had my stupid doctor's appointment on Thursday morning. Danny has been making me take things easy. I don't really mind. It's nice to have a little "Mommy Vacation" and for him to take care of the baby for a few days. I'm still there for the snuggles and the singing to the baby, but Danny is doing all the "big stuff." I'm enjoying it. A lot. :)
Ten things I have on my mind:
1. I'm still debating about whether I want to go back to work or not. Danny tells me that he doesn't care, he just wants me to do whatever makes me happy. I think he secretly wants me to stay home, that way we can still spend lots of time together and I can take care of Evan. I like this idea, a lot. I wouldn't mind finding a part time job though, just to get myself out into general population again.
2. I've done A LOT of crocheting during my "Mommy Vacation." I've been working on the same bright pink crochet blanket for the past TWO YEARS. Seriously, two years. I never make much progress with it and always get tired of the pink, so I put it away. I've made a lot of progress on it over the past few days. Brianna saw it won Thursday and she basically fell in love with it. I'd like to finish it to give her for Christmas, and maybe make a little matching baby doll blanket for her. I think she'd really enjoy that. :)
3. My Granny is getting really old. I guess this is really just starting to bother me because she's living alone now that Derrick went to college. It bothers me to think that I'm going to lose her one day. I can't imagine my life without her.
4. We're looking at giving our dogs away. They're like my babies and I love them both a lot, but they're both problem children and act terribly unless I have my entire day to devote to them. Hello, I do not! I'm tired of them peeing in my house for no reason (they're both housebroken and go outside often) and chewing up things. I'm torn.
5. I wish that I had learned a lot of things growing up that I'm having to teach myself now. How to cook, proper laundry habits, house cleaning in general, organization, how to sew, patience.
6. Danny has treated me like a queen this week. I'm glad. I was so angry and frustrated with life last week. It feels good to be a little appreciated and spoiled.
7. I wish I had a way to go to flea markets. We're down to one car right now and Danny takes it to work. He works too far away for me to take him to work and keep the car.
8. I have not driven a car in about three months. First, I was too big and pregnant to fit behind the wheel, now I'm just lazy and don't like doing it. Ha.
9. I have a lot of hair-ball ideas.
10. I really enjoy having my dad around. Since Derrick went off to school, my dad has decided to close his house up for the time being. I told him that when he's home on the weekends, I don't like him driving all the way to his house (45 minutes away) and then spending the weekend alone. I'm also being selfish because I want to have him around me.
