So I went to the egyptian bazaar today. I didn't get to chill with the newfound love of my life, but that was probably a good thing. I really do not want to start liking him too much, actually would like to destroy and liking i have now. I'm pretty scared I'm too far gone though, i got that butterfly feeling in my stosmach when i thought about him in the cab ride back to the dorm. Anyway, thats the least important of what i did today. I went to an advising session, finally decided that I want to live in zamalek, bought a phone card with which i will again try to call my mom and or sister, and later decided that i want to live in hte zamalek residence no matter what, so nurys be damned. Anyway, I am soooo tired. But yes, back on track. I think i am gonna try to get my mom to transfer my money from bank of america to a citibank account cuz they actually have one here, crazy no? It will be a hell of a lot cheaper to get the money from there too rather than to deal with the 5 dollar surcharge or the wire transfer fee crap. Anyway, what else did i do, i wen to the most famous bazaar in cairo. I put the asraf ( im pretty sure thats head scarf) on and everything. I got a picture, ill try to upload it later. Anyway I needed some sunglasses so i got terribly ripped off on a pair of bad chanel fakes. It ended up being 30 ginai, aka egyptian pounds, aka around 5 dollars and 26 cents. Still, i really really really really needed sun glasses. Anyway, other than that it was pretty cool, most people thought i was egyptian because of the outfit, long white skirt and the egyptian style shirt with a high cut tank underneath, they were so confused though when i spoke to others in english. Oh, and then the craziest thing happened, i haggled for something in spanish. I didn't really even want it, i was just happy to be able to talk to someone who wasn't american and did not do it through the medium of aj, it was awesome. I didn't buy it though, it was just a simply necklace. Anyway, I cannot wait to go again, even though my feet are horridly dirty do to the decision to wear sandals (sneakers are way too hot!). Tommorow though I plan on just going to fatma youssef, the housing director and telling her i really want to live here just in another room, roomate is annoying as all hell. Anyway, i better shower and get ready to call parents and all and then bed, peace out my homies.
