No water today and other stuff
This morning, I woke up to no water. Apparently the water-pipe at our street burst and all the houses on my row had no water supply. Crap!! Fortunately, we had some water leftover for me to brush my teeth and scrub my face. But it was not an ideal situation.
Anyhow, the PUB people came to assess the situation at around 6:30am, but they were still standing around staring cluelessly at goodness knows what when I left for work at 7:20pm. The waterpipe was still gushing water out from the ground. I can't imagine why they didn't think to turn off the main water pipe because wow, talk about wasting water. A whole lot of water was definitely wasted this morning.
Like rainbow_craze was saying, we just got back from Taipei on late Monday night and for the past two days I was battling with post-holiday blues. Crap. Kept thinking and wishing that I was back on hols. But I guess my post-holiday blues was exacerbated by the death of my cute little bunny who passed away after serving 10 years as my pet. He died a virgin. Poor Bob. I will try to find a picture to post of him.
Fortunately, this 'blues' has abated by today and I am back to my not-so-chipper, sober self. The past few days I've been rather sarcastic and mean at work....probably a side-effect from being really tired and upset. So Taipei probably warrants an entire post by itself and that will go up when I finally find the time. Haven't had time to use the computer for leisure since I got back. I'm being naughty here and sneaking some time out from work to type this up as it is ^^. Anyhow, don't report me! :D
