Needless to say, spending last night in solitude did help me get some of the work done that I've been mercilessly putting off the last few weeks. I'm assigned to deliver a 30-minute long lecture teaching the class about the electrokinetic flow in microfluidic systems. It sounds impressive, but it's pretty dry. I am convinced that no one will have any idea what I'm talking about since no one else in the class speaks English except for the professor - who will undoubtedly have at least 5 questions that will attempt to leave me dumbfounded at the podium. But that's just part of the fun of being a grad student, I guess.
Other than that, I'm just longing for the weekend to arrive already! How am I supposed to be able to sit in my office 8 hours a day (and writing in my LJ for about 10 minutes of that) for the rest of my life?! I either need to create a corny made-for-infomercial TV invention or sue over my "lost" mega-millions lottery ticket that was found in Omaha Nebraska. :) I guess I am just eager to take the "next step" in my life, whatever that is supposed to be.
