Directed by Danny Boyle (Trainspotting, The Beach), written by Alex Garland (author of The Beach, novel). Stars Aussie favourite Rose Byrne and Michelle Yeoh, one of the coolest asian actresses in Hollywood at the moment.
In the not too distant future, the sun is dying. The earth sends 8 people on Icarus II- mission to reignite the sun. From the first five minutes, you are hooked. The characters are well developed and each have their own faults and graces. The tension is high and you feel like you're actually there on the mission- forming opinions about what they should do, taking sides, soaking up the fear and the hope.
One of those movies that makes you think about how small we really are and how few our days may be. Go smell some roses...
