"Lucius, how did you ever think this was a good idea?"
"I was bored."
"Dear God in Heaven, there's nothing more dangerous than a bored Malfoy."
"Very funny."
"Well, are you still bored?"
"No, this is quite a challenge. It'd be much easier if you'd just hold still..."
"How did I let you talk me into this?"
"The same way I talk you into everything, Sev. You know the payout will be worth it."
"I hate you so much right now. Ow!"
"I told you to keep still. Now be quiet, I'm almost done."
Lucius put down his paintbrush and stood back to admire his work. It really was quite an intricate painting. And it was always so much fun using Sev as a canvas. It was going to be even more fun when Sev found out the paint didn't come off unless you used saliva. He smiled broadly and Severus scowled at him.
"Are you done now?"
"Yes."
"Good. The things I go through for the Dark Lord's Halloween parties." He shook his head. "And you always get away with the most ridiculous things. I get told to come as a painting, and you're what?"
Lucius smirked and smoothed the front of his toga.
"A Roman senator."
"Figures."
"Now come on. We don't want to be late. If we annoy him, he might get creative again."
"But I thought you wanted some excitement. You said you were bored."
"Sev, it is not possible to be bored enough to find that appealing."
"You know, Bella..."
"Severus Snape, I will hurt you."
"Promises, promises. Now are we going, or not?"
Severus and Lucius walked out of the room together. Neither one noticed a small blond boy, hidden behind a curtain. He clutched his camera to him and smiled. These were wonderful blackmail photographs. He stuck his head out of the curtains as his mother walked into the room.
"Did you get the photos, Draco?"
"Yes, mother."
"Good boy." She patted him on the head. "We'll make a true Slytherin out of you yet."
