They know that none of this stuff could possibly have been around at the time, but I think they're having too much fun to care now. And hey, still hugely popular.

Oh. Oh I have just realised what episodes are next. From a purely aesthetic point of view, OMG, too much. Also, Elyan out acts everyone else with one line in the next episode, but it does rather stand out and make you think "stop it, this is Merlin, not Shakespeare", Merlin cocks everything up (as usual) but then fixes it again so hey, and the mighty cupboard of +50 hiding. Oh, and "I am not a horse", but that's in the one after.

Because they can, and you will keep watching, because you can't quite believe it's happening. Fuck, I bought all three series so that I could watch them again and again and go "AAAAAAAAH STOP IT" for ever.

Also, my favourite line in the whole series (I think) happens in the episode after next.
"Gwaine? Are you alive?"

That line is fantastic. As is anything involving Gwaine, really.

He is amazing. And all over the next two episodes, so enjoy. Also, we meet Percival, who wears sleeveless chain mail to demonstrate just how huge his muscles are.

I don't know if they picked a really tall actor, or if he's just standing on a box. I think the former. I hope the former. Oh, they are just great episodes and I love this show so much, you don't even know. Except you do. :)
