Can't sleep

Ican't sleep, which is really weird for me, because I can ALWAYS sleep.

My brother called me and his present that I ordered 2 weeks ago, still hasn't gotten to him. So I was up on the computer at 2330 writing emails to the wilcoworld.net people, asking them why they haven't shipped his posters.

Blah, blah, blah, boring. But I have nothing else to do... well that's not true. I could be reading. For some reason I have this deal with myself that I need to alternate the types of books I read. And by type I mean classic vs. modern novels. I was watching tv a long time ago, and there was a show with some obscure literary reference, and I thought, I really need to read that. And then I thought, well there are so many 'classics' I haven't read, I really should read those too. So what started in France, at the only English bookstore I could find, was put on hold during nursing school, so I could read about pathophysiology and pharmacology...

So I finished a classic, and now I'm reading a modern novel. It's Love Monkey by Kyle Smith. I started watching the tv show in January then CBS cancelled it. I liked it, and saw the book on sale at Target, so I picked it up. IT IS FREAKING HILARIOUS. I sometimes feel like I shouldn't like it, because here's this guy talking about guy things, and as a girl, I feel like I should be offended, but let's face it, I'm really not the kind of girl that gets offended by guy things, sorry feminism, I'm just not.

I guess that's what I'll go and do. I tried to get through WICKED, but I just can't, it's so weird, and maybe I'll have to have a glass of some kind of alcohol just to give me a boost past the first 50 pages. I'm determined though. It's just like when you are watching a bad movie, I can't just leave, I have to see the end to justify the time it took me watching to decide it was a bad movie "maybe it'll get better in a minute" That's how I feel with books, you invest yourself in them, and it's just gotta get better. The cover says, Millions Sold, so it has to get better.

I'll finish Love Monkey, read a classic, and then WICKED, just in case you wanted to know my reading list...
