A thought about all these Americans for Kerry that are planning to leave the country now that Bush won --- how do you know these other countries even WANT you in their country
( Read more... )
Hey Anita!!! I still have your ankle bracelet. hehe.... ermmm.... Back to the topic at hand...
I really didn't think people read my LJ other than my sister and jeno, but I guess that's also cause most of it is Friends Only. I think that's a good thing judging from THIS debate. heh....
You should read my debate/argument with my sister in HER LJ http://www.livejournal.com/users/mgamboa/21481.html . It got pretty heated and tense there. There was also a "discussion" about this very same thing when she came over for a fun and "relaxing" Halloween night. *sigh* It's just so ridiculous and I think a lot of these people throwing tantrums are now eating their words.
This is the first you heard about the whiners wanting to leave? Omg-come to King County, it's RAMPANT. Well, it WAS rampant - until reality set in. All of a sudden, there's a wierd rumble of feet going into many-anti-Bush mouths.
A wise man told me recently before the voting was over --- "you know, I don't hear any Bush-supporters (or anti-Kerry mongers) saying 'If Bush doesn't win, I'm leaving this country!'" Chew on that fat.
Wow. I just got done reading the link to your sisters postings. I have to say - I agree with you on all of it. I think its funny about the people wanting to move. You had a good point in that if they move to another country - they wont have that right to voice their opinion. I bet a lot of people never thought about how they would be treated if they moved. Maybe the reason I didnt hear about it was because most of the people on the east side of the state voted for Bush and not Kerry. They are a lot of Republicans over here. I didn't know your dad came from PI. We you born in the states? I guess I never realized that or knew. I knew he was in the military. Ah yes....The ankle braclet. Some day I will get it. LOL. Maybe next time I come over there for a vist. Youve had that for a long time now. Oh- I was reading your journal cause Janelle had emailed me about some dream she had that I was in and told me to check out and read your posting. I kinda like this thing. Just need to make more journal entries. =)
Yeah -- the ankle bracelet is somewhere around here....
You're lucky you weren't here for the elections. *sigh* Did you hear that they are *still* protesting Bush? There was an anti-Bush rally just this weekend in dt seattle. And they plan to do another one when he is inaugurated (sp? - i just woke up). Some doofus was on tv saying that they are going to try to impeach him. Ummm...HELLO...he won the POPULAR vote too! *siiiiighhhhh*
Anyway - yeah, my dad was born in the PI and moved to the US I think when he was like 19 or something (he married my mom at 20, sooo...) - I guess I never really asked him that. *sigh * So many things I wish I would have asked him about his life.... Annnyway, yes, I was born in Hawaii - my mom was born and raised in Hawaii.
yeah you need to write more..hehe ...actually i'll open you up to my Friends Only postings - right now you're still on my Friends Of list.... not that my LJ is interesting or anything. :) When will you be back down here?
LOL- what are they going to try to impeach him for? Not like he pulled a Bill Clinton. What dump people there are in this country. i guess to some winning the election and the popular vote dont mean a thing. thats funny that they had those rallies. I didn't realize that Seattle was so political or whatever. Oh well. I thought you were born in Hawaii. Cause I know you go there and have family there. I know what you mean about asking about their lives. My great great granny lived to be 105. She would tell me stories when I was younger about going from horse and buggy to the first cars, the silver bird in the sky. That kind of stuff. I wish I knew more about it. We still dont have a governor do we? Good lord. Gregorie is only leading last I heard by about 8500 or something like that. Its funny. Last time I voted for president. Oh well.. You know, Im still learning how this livejournal thing works. each time I find something new. LoL. I dont know when I will be back over there. Janelle invited me over for Thanksgiving. So I got to figure out what I want to do for that. Hopefully before Christmas. We will see though.
