Yesterday I worked an eleven hour day, which was great, because I need the experience and I need the money. I worked at the veterinary clinic from 8 to 7, finishing up the night with a very brisk walk to the 30th st. station in the frigid cold. Even gloves didn't keep my hands from nearly freezing up and falling off. Today, I came in at 11:30 and got some lunch, only to be informed that Donovan McNabb (for those of you who live in caves, he's the star quarterback of the Eagles) came to Emergency Services (where i work) with his Boxer, Sinbad. It must have happened right after I left. Now the dog is up in Medicine being treated for something or other,(Kidney disease I found out) and everyone's freaking out, cause they don't want anything to happen to his dog, (i.e. anything that might upset his performance in the playoffs this week). Apparently, Donovan has been in with his dog before, and attributes some of his playing success to the inspiration his dog has given him. Ahh, well, it's the Philadelphia curse. At least he's at Penn veterinary hospital. It's one of the best in the country. Keeping my fingers crossed.
