Well, i think that i took someone else's topic but hey i guess it's okay because it was mighty interesting. Anywho, i want to write about children in elementary school and or junior high who are being overdiagnosed with ADD, ADHD, or depression (or something like that). There are so many children right now who are poppin pills because their teachers or parents dont want to handle their own children, so they put them on pills to clam them. So i suppose that i am trying to answer the question: Are children being over-diagnosed for ADD, ADHD, and depression ( or something to that effect )?
I also suppose that i am trying to answer that question as yes?
i think that i would have to learn more about the "disorders" themsleves and find possible causes. I will also have to find out how many of today's children are diagnosed. i think that medical sources and education sources would help me a lot. i will also have to try and find out what teachers believe because i know that in my high school one of my science teachers though that too many children were being diagnosed.
The thing that i may have trouble with is trying to focus more on the argument than the causes and effects of children being over-diagnosed. Also, at the moment i am finding it difficult to come up with topic sentences off the top of my head. Hopefully i will be able to with more knowlege on the subject.
