I've been meaning to post this, but time is a luxury these days. Late last Spring, my oldest son, Seth, my youngest AJ, and myself took a road trip to take AJ to his Dad's. At his Dad's they had 3 dogs. One of them, Baby, was a stray that they had picked up along the highway and took home. My ex asked me if I wanted her, if not he was going to either shoot her, or take her to the pound. Me, being the softie that I am, threw her in the van, and took her home.
What he neglected to tell me, was that Baby was in heat, and my Golden Retreiver got ahold of her and we were blessed(?) with 13 puppies. I managed to find good homes for all of them but the largest male, which we ended up keeping as well.
So, we moved here to Zville, and I just had him trained, and him being the bird doggie that he was, chased a bird into the street and got hit and killed by a car. What really pisses me off, is the person didn't even STOP. I heard a noise that I NEVER, want to hear again in my lifetime. The thunk thunk of at least 2 tires running him over.
Was it wrong to let him out without his chain? Yes. I admit that. I ran in to get the phone, and that's all it took. There are alot of children in this neighborhood, what if it would have been a child? They were going FAST. I'm sure they knew that they hit him. If it would have been a child, would they have stopped?
Moving on...Why do people think that it's ok to try and run other people's lives? My son, is 23, with a baby girl, and I have his girlfriend's father calling me at work, telling me that I need to tell him to cut his hair, get a job, etc. HE HAS a job for corn's sake. I almost lost MINE because of this controlling ass. UGH. if there were a warm hole to crawl in, it would have my name all over it.
