80's Toys and getting them valued.

I have a 1980's Mattel My Child doll that I want to sell, but I don't know where I can get it looked at and valued.
Ideas?
Looking on ebay, the price they sell for is anything from $20 up past $1000. (yeh, $1000!!!!!)
Also have some 1980's My Little Ponies that I want to get valued too but have no idea on where to start.
