I've actually had a fair bit of energy over the past couple of days. Ironically I think it's been due to the fact i've not had my computer set up as much. (For those who don't know i usually end up taking my computer over to Tosh's on Thurs and Mondays for Ulduar Raids) I've been quite tired of resetting it back up as i've had to move all my computer this week not just the moniter, mouse and keyboard. more fiddly taking all the cables with me. BTW brought new mouse and keyboard, still in the midst of setting the keyboard up. For those who might care I've got the logitec G9X mouse and the G19 Keyboard (the one with the colour LCD screen...i know wtf do i need THAT for? It's actually been quite handy)
Tuesday was maintenance night and I am also in the midst of getting some sort of reliable system my mum can use to watch her downloaded show on the TV. (Yes I am fully aware that USB enabled DVD Recorders or players will fix this problem. Was having trouble finding one that loaded such things quickly within a cheap price range and did not freeze up every fucking time it found some file type it didn't like. ) Eventually went for the WD TV media player thing. It's very fast, can utilise two hard drives, has a very simple menu interface, has it's own remote and is nice and small and less complicated.
Only problem now is.... my mother dear has a considerable amount of Flash movie files as well as normal AVI files. I'm looking for a good, cheap (as in free) program that converts FLV (Think that's it) into AVI or some other mainstream video format.
Program that came with WD TV tuner is deathly slow. One i downloaded plays fine on my Samsung out the front room but won't read on the WD TV tuner for some reason.
Reason i didn't set my computer up is because I gave mother my electrical board. She had 3 double adapters plugged into the wall...THREE. Could not stand it.
So have new powerboard. Got another one for free in lovely deal.... though i just realised I have probably spent about...$200 in the past financial year on powerboards and only one is in my room. Got two in study, one in living room, one in mothers room, a ridiculous fucking THREE at toshi's place and the freaking kerm makes me use the dodgy old one when i'm there.... he's USING all my powerboards for all his electrical shit..ok that actually makes me angry.... quite angry.
Cousin came down on Tuesday and i drove him and his friends about Bendigo and Mt Macedon to have a look around. It's funny they think i'm FIT because i can jump about on rocks and walk fairly fast through everything LOLS. I'm not fit at all (pokes tummy), i think i'd struggle to run 5km's now and that used to be fairly ok for me to do on a treadmill.
I need to stop buying stuff.... I'm meant to be paying off apartment and car and I get sidetracked with purchases that i could use to reduce my interest a bit. GAWD Need to stop buying books (pout), clothes because i really do have enough, and gadgetry. The makeup has not been so bad.... only brought neutral eye shadow because i needed it and foundation in last six months and all came with gift. (ok ok no more makeup)
THANK GOD FOR AUTOSAVE....just had power outage.
Back to original point. My room is clean, i finally got around to going through the considerable amount of paperwork and just....detritus of life i had been putting off for the last year or so. My room isn't just clean.... like hiding paper in boxes. It's FILED if I need it. I was finally a bit ruthless with a few things...memento's letters and other things, receipts. I deserve gold star (really i do). I really do need a bigger bookshelf though because i'm unable to put them alphabetically because there isn't enough room to do that.... they are piled horizontally so i can fit two stacks per bit..... and all the books are odd sizes.
I also have a ridiclous amount of DS games I haven't played that I have purchased (another no no.)
Also a regular customer at work gave me some good advice on the science front which made me feel alot better.
btw...love my new car. Will vacuum apolstery and mats when i get a chance...it's a little muddy and things from mt macedon.
