I am now officially 25 years old. Half way to fifty, as my sister put it. That IS kind of weird to think about. I really don't feel very old though. It does not seem like 7 years since I was in highschool. I think I like it though. Our car insurance is going to go down, after all!
To celebrate we went out to lunch with the kids to Rockin Baja Lobster. We had the carne asada and chicken quesadillas which were both DELICIOUS. For dessert I got an apple crumble with caramel sauce and ice cream. It was very delicious as well. Jeremy got me a nice big new picture frame you can put lots of different pictures in and Hershey's Treasures. :) He also got me a card, and picked a card from David and Alex. :) hehehehehe They were both lovely. Other than that, I renewed my driver's license, as it expired today. Luckily, that can be done on a kiosk, so I spent a grand total of about 3 minutes at the DMV! (Had I had to wait in line it would have been at least 2-3 hours waiting. It was packed.)
There was a RS activity and Jeremy had Scouts tonight, so we went to those. Jeremy took David and I had Alex. David is starting to feel better, thank goodness. Poor kid had to miss his first day of Pre-school. I took him in to the Dr. instead on Tues to find out that he had a double ear infection! This explains the fever, the general puniness, and lack of activity in him the past 4 or 5 days. He never did complain about his ears though. The first couple times getting him to take the omoxocillan (sp?) was interesting to say the least. He just wouldn't swallow it. Talk about exasperation! I finally got him to take it by explaining that there were bad guys in the infection in his body and that tiny good guys were in the medicine, but that he had to swallow it for them to help him kill all the bad infection guys. (He's into killing bugs that "don't a-long in the house", so the logic follows perfectly) Then I told him he had to take it for 10 days and showed him on the calendar. He responded by proposing, "How about 3 days?"
*insert eye roll*
This morning he actually reminded me that we have to take it and got it out of the fridge. Okay, I suppose I'd better go to bed. I'm going with the kids to Utah, and then Idaho tomorrow after preschool's done. I'd better get some sleep. I tried putting Alex in the crib in David's room last night. If the kid didn't constantly want to eat all night (3 times last night) it would be fine! :) Oh well, he is growing. He even started rolling over a couple days ago. He can get on to his tummy, but he hasn't figured out how to get back to his back. It's kind of funny. Okay... good night. I have a large day a head of me, as Grandma Theola would say.
