An unexpected boon arrived in the mail towards the end of last week in the form of a check from my mother-in-law. Our house has curb appeal. The purple peony bush is in full bloom and the white one is ready to put on a show at any moment. The star roses are also blooming and add a wonderful punch of color amidst the two boxwoods and two other shrubs.
