I just spent the better part of 45 minutes clearing ice off Jeepfink and our stoop and walk (neighborkid cleared the "public" sidewalk; I cleared the walk that comes up to our door). One good thing about ice-covered snow drifts is they let me reach the top of the Jeep much more easily.
When the UPS guy delivered a package for Kate-next-door he told me I should be inside watching a movie and drinking hot cocoa and I should tell my boss that I'll be back at work when the ice naturally melts from my car. Heh. I told him I was working from home and this was my "fresh air" break. He says the roads are slushy/salty/sandy. I'm glad to hear that; I'm ready to see walls other than my own again.
