Winner!
Hubbyfink is enjoying "Gears of War 2" and has been playing for about three hours now. He's very happy with his Christmas gift (yay me for suggesting it to Mom and yay Mom for putting it under the tree). He prefers it to "Fallout 3" because your purpose in GoW2 is to mindlessly kill the bad guys whereas there's a lot of exploring and figuring out what to do in FO3. Yeah, I figured he was more into the straightforward shooter games. That's okay: more action/survival horror RPGs for me.
[And here I break to confess that I'm a terrible backseat gamer: "You missed picking up the gun back there. Oh! Grab that ammo. Yeah, pull the glowing lever. Wait, no. Shoot that thing!" Sometimes Hubbyfink has the patience of Job.]
I have to admit it is pretty fun watching his character carve the nasties up into little pieces with a chainsaw. And some day I'll get a chance to go after my "Left 4 Dead" zombies and explore "Fallout 3".
