September means change
I managed to skip the OMG-it's-time-for-school-again frenzies this year. I guess I'm finally old enough to no longer get the mid-August panic attack (school and college started the 3rd week of August down south). However, I'm ready to shake things up with lots of changes.
The easiest change will be my hair. I let it grow out so it would be manageable at Pennsic and now I can't stand it anymore. Time to get whacked!
The next easy change will be window treatments in the house. I've been wanting to swap out the current mini blinds with matchstick roller blinds for a while. Seeing how nice the matchstick blinds in Mimi's house looked confirmed that this is the direction I want to take.
The change which will probably happen tonight is my ripping up the carpet on the upstairs landing. Kit has ruined the carpet and I'm too embarrassed to invite anyone into my home at this point. I'll lay down one of the indoor/outdoor rugs we got for the old pavilion on the bare floor until we're able to put in new flooring. And I'll make a vet appointment for Kit to get her put back on medication.
This weekend we're cleaning out the basement and moving leftover camping gear out of the storage unit. I can't WAIT to save that $50 a month.
