Thank God for the internet
Well, we’ve been rained out again, for the 3rd time. I thought I’d like it when it rained, but I haven’t really worked yet, so I can’t really have a break. At least my hotel room is really nice. Two double beds, a microwave, a mini fridge, and the internet. Thank God for that. No, seriously, I watched t.v. all day on Friday, and I don’t ever want to watch t.v. again. There’s never anything good on anyway.
So, yesterday I called Shelley’s and got to talk to Ricki and wish her a happy birthday. I miss my friends so much right now, and not doing anything just makes me miss everyone that mush more. I mean, I could be at home right now hanging out with my friends. But no, I have to stay in Regina just in case the roads dry up. At least I’m getting paid.
I drank 2 coffees yesterday evening and then proceeded to wonder why I couldn’t sleep. Whatever. I got to talk to my mom, sister and a couple of my cousins on msn yesterday night too. They were all at my cousin’s grad party. Hmmm…maybe it’s a good thing I wasn’t home, because then I would have had to choose between The grad party with my family, and Ricki’s birthday with all my friends.
I packed waaaay too much stuff. My original 3 bags have somehow now expanded into 5. There’s no way we’re going to fit all my stuff, all the other person’s stuff and all our equipment into a car. As much as I enjoy driving that Malibu, I kind of hope Gary (the guy who handles all that stuff) is able to find us a truck.
I’m thinking of going shopping today. There’s a few stores not too far away, and it should keep me busy for a while. Hey, if anyone wants to take a trip out to Regina, I have an extra double bed that you could sleep in for free. Seriously, I don’t think I’ll be working for the rest of the day. I spent all of last night downloading stuff from limewire. Man I love that. I’m currently trying to download an episode of Lost that I missed. My hopes aren’t very high for that to work, as none of the bigger files I’ve tried have worked.
Well, I think I’m going to go find something to eat. I bought a couple of frozen dinners, some yogurt, fruit, milk, and a bunch of non-refrigerated stuff, so I’m sure I’ll find something. I had pizza pops and a yogurt for breakfast today. Then I found out it was really wet and went back to sleep until 12:00. I didn’t even feel guilty for sleeping so late, because there is nothing else I could possibly do.
Call me, or msn, or something and someone please come visit. We should be in Regina for a while, and there’s a big empty bed. On the days I do work, I should be done by 7:00, so there’s still time to do stuff in the evenings. Think about it!!
