Got home from church last night & Eric & his girlfriend/almost-fiancee, Adel, were making toasted sandwiches in the kitchen. I'm not sure what the context of the conversation was, but as I walked in, Eric said, "I don't think I've ever read a complete novel."
Mel: Will you read mine?
Eric: Yes, I read minds.
Donovan cracked up laughing and promptly gave us a re-enactment of the Zoolander scene "I'm bulimic/You read minds?"
Eric has just got this swanky new, high-paying job at an architectural firm, which means he and Adel can actually now start planning their wedding. Adel wants a March wedding.
Dad: March is bad; we'll be in Athens then.
Mike: I thought the race was in Sweden.
Dad: That's in July.
Mom: What lotto are you planning on winning?
Dad: We don't need the lotto. Eric has a new job.
I wonder if Adel fully understands the madness she'll be marrying into.
