I've just finished the Neverwinter Nights 2 official campaign. That's one of the reasons I haven't been around on LJ much since Thursday - I even decided to give up my post-once-a-day-during-November plan in order to play. I haven't read my email or my Friends page for a good couple of days now - did anyone say addiction

I agree, the queue is nice! Much better than NWN, which probably didn't have one but looked like it should.
Wow! Thursday until today! That's impressive! You? Obsessive? No! :)
I am not very far at all. My furthest is a warlock who joined the watch to get to the lake district and just got the mission to find the envoy outside of town. Still part I. So, not far at all.
I also have a sorcerer (necromancer) who is doing the stuff near Fort Locke, a monk at the Inn with the dwarf, and a Ranger who is at Fort Locke as well. (Wow. I have a lot! I didn't realize how many until I typed this out.)
I keep switching who I am playing based on how I am feeling. And I don't think I am doing well in my responses. They are too obvious in their slant and I have been sticking to the good or neutral ones. I don't have an evil or rude person but they are still too obvious. Ah, well.
I like the warlock! I don't like that they are automatically infernal. (I guess Complete Mage offers the celestial version.) I like their abilities, though. It is almost like playing a Spellfire wielder, although with lots more charges. I think a few things are tough, like the charging the weapon, but otherwise it seems to be a good class.
Personally, I think the sorcerer character is slightly better than my warlock. Mainly because the game automatically rests between travel points. So, any big travel refreshes the sorcerer's spells, which is nice. Further, the warlock seems like a one trick pony. It is cool, and some of the other things they can do are nice, but the blast is offensive and nothing else. (Now, in an RPG where it could be used to blast items, like doors or supports, it could be really good. It seems limiting in the computer game.) The sorcerer, though, while not a full wizard can certainly have a lot of good spells, and extra spell slots with feats, to cover simple offensive, defensive and miscellaneous spells. Having said all of that, I do enjoy the warlock character I have!
Have a good one! Take care!

I found the first part of the official campaign to be quite dull, so I'm having some difficulty starting it again.
You're right about the warlock - they're really one-trick ponies. I think they're a fun class, but I would get bored doing nothing but versions of Eldritch Blast throughout the entire campaign. Vitriolic Blast and Devour Magic are great when you get them, but still. I'll try a warlock when some decent modules come out, but not through the whole OC. I think, for me, sorcerers and wizards are more fun to play for extended periods, especially without rest restrictions. Actually, I just want to get the cute cat familiar. :)
I'm considering taking a chaotic character through and joining the thieves instead of the watch this time. I was a goody-two-shoes last time - I picked all the nicest and most ditiful responses - so it might be a nice change. I wonder how different the thief quests are to the watch ones?
Maybe a bard would be fun, now that I think about it ...
