cat calls

passing under moon sent shadows
dancing as waylay phantoms
their eyes met with shortness of breath.
they paused and spoke intimately

"hello", said he in manly degree;
she curtsied daintily.
"it is far to late to stand naked in this state."
the wind was howling deeply.

above the gorge and its craggy shore,
walking nestled in the other;
in the night of fury and fright,
only their eyes glowed freely.

they spilled along the street
with water from puddled drains
the ruff murmur of pulsing rain
clouded the light flutter of feet.

to the grass they came at last
and found a bed of heather.
above the storm had ceased breathing
reaveling a clean overcast weather.

soon light dried the day
she purred seductively while he pawed her.
watching the clouds, hearing late morning's sounds
she wispered softly "tomorrow."
