Not a lot going on around here. Had today off work. Tomorrow too. Then I work eight days straight before I get four in a row off. Made a kick ass joint effort on dinner with Alex tonight. Southwest turkey burgers and beer-batter spicy onion rings. Our roomates are goddamn lucky we cook, because they just don't. Alex has an interview for a real job in Chicago tomorrow, and they're putting him up overnight, and Jeff's grandmother fell and broke so many bones she has to have surgery, so he's going to be out of town until she's in the clear. Crystal and and I are not looking forward to the whole "sleeping alone" deal that is about to ensue for each of us, but my bed is so big, that perhaps she, Avery (her 2-year old), and I will all just pile in there to fight the lonelies. Not that my loneliness is the worst part of Jeff's being gone. His grandmother is 94 years old, so putting her under anesthesia is a very big deal. When you're that old, and you get put that far under, it's a much greater chance that you won't come out of it than those of us in our 20s have, which is really about 50/50. God, I can be so selfish.
