The new Liberal Party election ads featuring a woman blaming the Labor Government for her brothers death is the lowest form of electioneering I can recall. Well apart from the horrid student elections I've witnessed around the country, from sexual assualt to outing candidates.
Does the Coalition really believe these ads will be the end of the Beattie Labor government? They evoke more of a gasp at how tacky they are, rather than striking a chord with voters.
I think we can take that kind of electionering to the Federal Election- many more ‘casualties’ from Howard and co.
-Refugees
-Workers post Work “Choices”
-Students
-Disabled
-Indigenous
-alienated youth self harming and killing themselves
-queer youth suicide
the list is endless......
But seriously, it is cheap shots and draws a long bow.
Dr Flegg must be the new Messiah. Under a Coalition Government nobody will obviously ever die ever again!! Praise the 'Lord'!
It wouldn’t have mattered which party was in power. The problem with the health system is that baby boomers keep getting older and impacting more on the health system. There is a much greater demand for services.
While the federal government fails to fund more university places for doctors the problem will never be resolved. If you are all happy to have your taxes increased to actually pay for what health costs then perhaps you can have a good health system. Problem is no one is willing to pay for anything, they want everyone else to do that.
