damn that good news/bad news situation

...and I suppose I'll start with the bad news. I got a call from my aunt earlier this afternoon wondering if me or someone in my family could take Granny to the doctor tomorrow. She's had fever, nausea, no appetite, pain...sound familiar? Say "gall bladder attack;" I knew you could. She smiled when I gave her a picture of me, my sis, and all four of my grandparents, but you could definitely tell she felt horrible. I half want to take her to the ER right now because this is not how Granny's supposed to look.

Odd how this happens the day before I start my new job - you know, kinda like last time? Nice segway into the good news - I got a job at Build a Bear! And I had an interview this morning for a job at Pottery Barn Kids. The interview today was to get a total of 40+ hours, and more pay, because just about every retail job besides managers are part-time. It kinda sucks, but I eventually want to get enough of a paycheck each month so that I can move out on my own.

Alfred is now moved into his apartment, and he and Lisa are starting to get things put away, etc., so that it's starting to feel more like a home instead of a box maze. Of course, once they get some of Lisa's boxes into the apartment, it'll look like a box maze again, but it'll get better. Eventually.

le sigh. I've got to figure out how to get a cousin's dining room chairs over to Nana's so I can recover them. I should do that now. >/
