If you're like me, you have a bevy of bunnies and picking the first to work on isn't easy. They all deserve attention. But there can't be any forward momentum without making a choice. I know this is going to be a harder task for some than for others. You can do it!
Just leave a comment to this post and let us know what you've chosen to work on.

First one is an AU in which Fraser, rather than becoming a Mountie, falls in with Victoria earlier on in his life, and ends up being arrested as a bank robber. The story picks up when Fraser, newly released from prison, first comes to Chicago on the trail of the killers of his father (the trail is pretty cold - he was incarcerated at the time of the murder.) I've already written a story based on this premise, which I want to use as the first chapter. Original story is 'A Little Bit Drunk, a Whole Lot Sad.' Don't have a title for the whole thing - working title for the WIP on my computer is 'Bankrobber AU.' Normally I ship Fraser and Kowalski, but in there is a lot of angst and history between them - not least the fact that Fraser's trying to do the right thing by Frannie. I've got another two chapters written of this, just over 14,000 words. Got stimmied when too many people told me how they wanted me to end it, and I lost faith in my original premise. After a period of time I've acknowledged to myself that I can't make it a happy ending, so if I do write this, I'm going to go back to the angst. This is what I've posted so far.

The Lake They Call Michigan. This is a retelling of canon due South through a magical realism lens. It leans very heavily on Celtic mythology; Fraser is co-opted by Powers to do their bidding. It's hard to explain it exactly - I love what I've written so far, but somehow I am stuck with how to tie canon plot to the mythological story structure I'm using. I think I simply have to rewatch the episodes, and get drunk, or something... This is a gift fic for a friend, and I really want to finish it, but I've been pretty much stuck since September.
Echo - I've written a short story which demands a longer exposition, and I've written on. Again, I'm a little stuck on plot points, and probably need someone to talk to about what the hell happens next. The short story posted on line is fine by itself, and I like what I've written so far, but the expanded version is proving a sod to write. Posted version here.

And my most recent WIP is a porn AU, in which Fraser is the porn star, and RayK is undercover as a camera man. It has a lot of promise in terms of sheer unadulterated kink, but it's proving slightly spongy in plot terms - not sure anyone will notice, because it has a lot going on in other areas, but... hmmm.
I'm thinking that I'll be working primarily on the porn one, because that is proving easier to write, but also really want to work on the others. I've decided the best way for me to go is to focus mainly on one, and when I get too frustrated with it hop to another.
So, what do you think? Porn, and which of the other ones for you guys? I will follow your bidding.

My vote goes to Porn and The Lake They Call Michigan. That one sounds fascinating to me.
