Much later, Rodney and Vince were curled up together in Vincent's bed, still basking in the afterglow of really hot make up sex.
“You know, I couldn't help noticing that your Agent Dean looks like a geeky version of the Colonel.” Rodney pointed out, as he slowly trailed one hand down Vincent's back.
Vincent turned his head to try and hide the blush that started at the tips of his pointed Sheppard ears and spread to his neck.
“Yeah, well, I might have had a bit of crush on my cousin when I was a kid.” he admitted to his lover. “Just after I turned thirteen, John had a big bust up with his dad and ended up staying with us for the summer. He spent a lot of time working with dad on the boat. I guess he was my hero for quite a while after that.”
“I hadn't realized,” Rodney said, filing the information away for future reference. “Colonel stoic rarely talks about his family, or anything much in his past really.”
“Anyway, you know I have this thing for geeky guys?” Vincent admitted, turning back toward Rodney and placing a soft kiss on his lover's lips.
“Oh yeah, that's one of the things I love about you,” Rodney said, smiling.
“Well like you said, Bren is a lot like a geeky version of John. Not as smart as you, but he does this thing where he remembers everything he sees. It was a combination of my two biggest kinks, all rolled into one shiny package. I guess I fell good and hard.”
“So what went wrong?” Rodney asked, curious.
“He started getting jealous,” Vince replied, with a shudder. “Every time I smiled at someone, he was convinced I was flirting with them.”
“Sounds to me that the guy's an idiot,” Rodney said, hoping it was what Vince needed to hear. “Your cousin Colonel Kirk is the flirt in the family. I should know after watching him chase after alien princesses and ascended chicks for five years.”
“Did you and John ever.....?” Vince couldn't resist asking.
“No, we never did,” Rodney answered with just a tinge of sadness. “He's never given me any sign he'd be interested. Still, that doesn't matter any more, I've got you now.”
“You certainly have,” Vince said with a wicked grin. He surprised Rodney by flipping him onto his back using a move he had learned from Ronon.
“You know, much as I'd like to spend the rest of the day in bed with you, sooner or later you're going to have to leave this room and face Agent Dean,” Rodney felt compelled to point out.
“I'm voting for later,” Vince said, as he reached down to stroke Rodney's hardening cock, making his lover gasp. “I've got other plans for the next couple of hours.”
“Fine by me,” Rodney agreed.

Emmett would probably be employed by the SGC to study the giant snakes on the mainland. Maybe he was on the Deadalus with Bren?
As for John, I can't see him in a hewligan pairing, otherwise why didn't he just get together with Rodney in the first place? Maybe I need someone from another fandom?
