These last couple of days have been pretty good. The sun has been out and shining, it's been warm, and things are starting to look up. I broke ground for my garden the other day. It's slow and tough going, but it's fun and it gives me a sense of accomplishment when I'm doing it. Yesterday, I pulled a rock out of the ground about twice the size of my head. I'm saving all the rocks I'm digging up to make a perimeter around the garden to keep out teh rabbits and teh deer and teh nibblers. ^_^ Unfortunately, I also dug into a termite..swarm...nest thingy yesterday, so I can't dig again till the guy comes out to spray it, which will be Friday. I'm kind of ticked, 'cause it's supposed to rain Friday and these next couple of days were gonna be the only time I could dig for a while. Oh well, I guess I'll just have to be patient. I went to Job Lot today and got carrot, broccoli, lettuce mix, and sprout(those yummy little asian ones) seeds. So I have the stuff to start it, I just...can't...yet. But soon!

In other news, I have a crush. Eeep! The people that know about it would agree that it's really, really weird, too. This makes me not too sure how to go about it. 'Cause normally I would just walk up and be like..."Hey...Would you like to go to the movies sometime or hang out?" Either that or... "Hey, baby...:;suggestive wink::" *laughs* So...yeah. I'm not sure what to do. I guess I"ll play it by year. If any of those of you who know who it is want to offer advice (discreetly!!!) that would be lovely! :;mwah!::

Today it was lovely and warm out, so I changed into my bathin' soooooot and shorts and sat in a lawn chair on the deck trying to get some sun (and skin cancer...weeeee!). I am still pastey white, of course, but come this summer I will be golden brown. Like a roll. A hot one that has just come out of the oven. And when you touch it you go... "Ouch. That's hot." And then stick your finger in your mouth. Anyway... I pulled out my *signed* copy of "Blinking With Fists" (Billy Corgan's poetry book) and gave it another read through. When I first got it, I didn't like alot of the poems, but the more I read them, the more I understand them. And I think that it's better to break them into little meaningful chunks, because in between it mostly seems like artsy filler crap (sorry, Billy!). But the parts that work work really, really well. I wrote my favorites in my *new* composition book ( I have an addiction...) and I'll post some here every once in a while. Like right.....now! Woo! Love ya.

"Because time will not stand still for us
But it will pretend every once in a while
And up here, forgotten, is just you, me
One sea chest holding a single valentine
And the poetry of our hearts."
-The Poetry of My Heart, Billy Corgan

This one (above) made me sappy and sentimental and hopeful and wonderful.

"If the dream is gone
Good! then let it die
I'd rather tumble from my window
The ground wet and hard with rain
Knowing you were waiting for me
Hearing the gravel scrape under our feet
Counting long seconds between cars passing
To cross the road giddy with freedom
There is something about your face
Lit up by the station lights
That inspires me to reach out past you
And this moment
And try to take you with me."
-The Others, Billy Corgan

This one made me want to be young and stupid and in love, sneaking out my window and driving through the night, the windows down and the breeze blowing, singing familiar songs with the one who understands.

"Alright. I'll get to the point
I'm lost without and kept within
I never wanted this thought to take hold
Cause beginnings with you seem different
Apologies if I tripped that wire
The one attached to desire."
-A Wax Seal, Billy Corgan

This reminded me of the insecurity you feel when starting a new relationship, or sharing your feelings for someone with someone. There's all that uncertainty until the moment when they smile back and say they feel the same. I hope that happens for me...
