UF... no, not the Weird Al movie
Urban Fantasy- a sub-genre to Fantasy and to me, Sci-Fi as well... just more Fantasy. It usually takes place now or in the near future and mixes magic into the world as we know it, shaken (not stirred) and there you have it. A magic martini of earth. Woot.
Now, to the pimping!!
A new site has been created that is allowing up-and-coming writers of this genre to express their hopes, dreams and frustrations of existing in said sub-genre and exploring the limitations and boundlessness of it all wrapped together with witty, sarcastic and wise blogging. Gotta love it. :)
