*Sigh*

Today I went around at work trying to make sure I said goodbye to everyone who wouldn't be in on Friday. One of my co-workers who I thought would be, caught me and told me goodbye, as she actually wouldn't be.
I may end up coming back here for the Barnes & Noble HP release party, but it depends on a lot of things.
Then I went to my husband's going away party, which his team always has at Buffalo Wild Wings. The waitress was new and I'm not sure everyone got the right things on the right tickets, and I think she was frightened of such a large group of loud people, but I met quite a few people who I had heard of but never met.
Then we went to the store and I tried to buy the HP movies, but didn't.

I am working on at least five different things now, with plans to go back to my NaNo '06 novel, which I was reading the other day and love.

Anyway, because I am impatient and because I am leaving Saturday for a new city and no internet!!!! (in my house), I am going to post the first half of something.

Ship: George/Luna (kinda)
Rating: Eh
Notes: Tralala

He first saw her at a meeting of the reformed D.A. Actually seen her; she had said something odd and random, and he had realized she was joking, and he had seen her as something other than the girl was was rather off.

No one else had seemed to realize she had made a joke, which bothered him a bit more than he had expected. Not that they were mean about it, but they had tried to change the conversation, and she had looked away, at nothing in particular, even though he had hoped she would look at him, and see that he got it. He was laughing. But she hadn't, and he wasn't sure exactly what to say to her. She was, at least to him, completely inapproachable.

Harry knew her, but Harry wasn't often around, and besides, he had more important things to worry about than George Weasley's love life. Although love life wasn't right. He didn't have one of those, he was just . . . curious.

He certainly couldn't ask Ginny, as there was no knowing what she might do or say. He had just watched, seeing who she spent enough time with, hoping she spent time with someone who wasn't the Chosen One or his baby sister. It seemed there was only one other person who knew her well enough to answer at least some of his questions. Not all, because George wanted to know everything.
--------------

My kitty caught a cicada and brought it inside for me. I grabbed it and put it back out, and it flew away, in spite of the fact I think it was almost entirely in her mouth. I thanked her for it, but she seemed rather disappointed. She was yelling and yelling (somehow, with her mouth full of the bug) for me to let her in.

etc., moving, fanfic, drabble
