School is going fairly well. I really like lunch duty with the 1st and 3rd graders; it's fun. Being on the stage isn't as bad as expected...in fact, my school ordered these awesome Wenger FlipForm risers for my stage.
A few school incidents:
1st grade: Gushing bloody nose all over. Had another student run to office for help, no one came, so sent the poor kid by himself. He came back with bloody clothes, so I had to send him back to the office with a note: "Change his clothes. Blood-borne pathogens?!"
1st grade: Student threw huge temper tantrum because I gave her a warning about her carpet square "If you keep playing with it, you'll have to put it back". She started throwing the carpet squares, kicking around. Rest of kids moved away, and I taught class in a corner while the girl kept screaming. Class left for PE, girl still in room. I go to office to tell them that she needs to be roemoved; they had to bodily remove her. Called dad.
2nd grade: Boy's head crawling with lice. EW! Thankfully the white kids are in minority...lice doesn't effect the black person's hair at all (too oily) and the latino's hair is too thick or something....
Married life is still going well. The things that need to get done still haven't gotten done. Last weekend we bought two big bookshelves, and I have yet to fill them. Maybe tomorrow. And, there's ALWAYS laundry. AUGH!
Joined a choir in KC: William Baker Festival Singers. AWE-SOME. I really enjoy being challenged. And singing with adults. :)
Now I must keep going with the laundry. R and I are headed to Lawrence for the Oompah-Fest at Southpark, then we're meeting my parents for the KU football game.
