What a day! Actually, what a BEAUTIFUL day!!!!
This morning, I spent 3 hours outside leading jump rope activities for the kiddos. (all of the "specials" teachers were out there). Our school did "Jumpe Rope for Heart", where kids ask for pledges and then they jump rope. I was able to get a work out while being a teacher!!! Then, the specials team had a really fun collab meeting where we goofed off, but also got a bit done.
After the wednesday inservice meeting I picked up my violin from the KCK instrument repair shop, and headed to KC Strings where I purchased a new case for wholesale b/c I'm a music teacher. I also got a new (expensive!) shoulder rest, and left my bow there to be fixed. The curvature of the bow has been destroyed due to lack of care. My cousins played on this violin while they were in elem and middle school, and my uncle gave it to me a couple summers ago when he heard I was interested in playing.
I got home around 6, read some of Gone With the Wind, then Cori and I went on a massive shopping spree. I bought the cutest denim skirt from Urban Outfitters ON CLEARANCE!!! We headed to Old Navy, where I spent over WAY TOO MUCH $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ on clothing. But I did buy a lot of clothing, most of it that can triple for teacher wear, honeymoon wear, and everyday wear. And we only spent 30 minutes at Old Navy. And I used a gift card for 1/4 of the purchase.
Now all I need to buy are some nice sandals!!!
