1. Physiological Needs which are the very basic needs such as air, water, food, sleep are all very obvious things that any individual needs. Water, air and food for example are necessary for survival. Without any of these needs, one would not be able to perform their daily activities to the best of their ability. Lack of sleep for example, would have to be my number one problem. Without sleep I cannot function correctly when I am in class for example, or even when I'm working out at the gym. Sleep is very important for all individuals because it gives you the energy one would need to complete the tasks of the following day.
2. Safety Needs are extremely crucial for any individual. Not just safety from the "real world" but safety in the house hold. I come from a very liberal family, where opinions are asked for and advice is taken. As any family oriented, daddy's girl would agree, my father has always been the safest figure throughout my life. Not only because of his size and knowledge, however because of the role he plays in my family. When I'm at home talking to my parents I feel as though nothing at that moment can hurt me or bother me in any way.
3. Love Needs can be fulfilled from many different sources. Aside from friends and family, which are the most obvious forms of love, there's different levels of love that can be found at work or at school. My love needs are met mainly by my family and friends however by simple tasks showing appreciation from teachers or co-workers shows a great amount of love as well. LOVE doesn't necessarily have to be it's true meaning. The level of love that I recieve from my trainer at the gym, obviously doesn't measure up to the level of love that my mom gives me. However either way, my love needs are met.
4. I believe esteem needs should be a little higher on the pyramid. Self-esteem being a main part of this really shapes one into the individual they will become in the future. Insecure individuals will not get far in life by just standing around putting and themselves down. Confidence would have to be one of my best traits and I'm proud to say that I am very content with my life. Not only with education or friends, however with the type of person I have become. I have always been taught to believe in myself and always have an open mind about any situation. Optimism is also one of my positive traits because it helps me see the brighter side of situations. The cup is always half full!
