Oy vey, thanks to the plunnyjam and so on it's been over eight months since the last chapter of DoJ fought its way out of our heads. Sorry! If it's any consolation, it does look like the DoJ plot bunny has re-sharpened its teeth and is ready to get back to work on a regular basis...

Yay, new chapter! Loved it - hope the next one doesn't take as long to get out.

Since it seems that they're not going to think of it themselves, someone ought to suggest to the pilots who are immigrating to a new universe to bring seeds and growing&preparation instructions for tea and coffee plants (and any other plants for their favorite foods). Hauling in bulk is okay for short-term consumption, but if something happens to their stores or they get just a few other people hooked on the stuff, they could run out a lot faster than they planned for. And, it could eventually give them a financial leg to stand on.

You never know what the Doctors might suggest, or pack into the shipping containers full of STUFF they're accumulating. There are however very good reasons for not introducing new plants into a parallel universe, which will come up once Wufei gets a chance to talk to the others... ;)

Yeah, y'know, that whole thing about Wufei being able to eat a fruit that would instantly KILL any of the natural residents of that world? Coffee could end up being a dangerous poison, or a full-on hallucinogen or something. Or maybe an aphrodisiac! Oh god... one of the Hradani males on a caffeine high... *shudder* Rage would never be seen the same way again!

Like the fact that caffeine and theobromine are slow metabolic poisons for earth humans, and given mindanwe had no noticeable effect on Wufei, they may be lethal for the parallel humanoids?
