Starting about November 11th, this is what I'll be stuck eating for at least a few weeks:

potatoes
chives
bean sprouts
green beans
cabbage (green, not red or purple)
brussells sprouts
iceberg lettuce
leeks (just the green bits)

'plain' bread (spelt or otherwise wheat-free)

butter
cottage cheese
lactose-free milk

eggs
fresh fish (not salmon, tuna, or prawns)
fresh meat (no marinades or stuffing etc)
chicken (ditto)

plain biscuits
shortbread
plain potato chips

gluten-free cornflakes

canola cooking spray
canola / sunflower / safflower oil

couscous
rice (not jasmine, basmati, or wild)
plain wheat-free pasta

lemonade (i.e. Sprite, not stuff with actual lemons in it)
vanilla icecream
pampas or home brand puff pastry

If it's not on that list - including things like 'pepper' and 'lemon juice' and 'herbs' and 'anything that might add a little flavour' - it's not gonna be in my diet. And all of the above has the caveat "can't contain any of these additives":

Colours 102, 104, 110, 122, 123, 124, 127, 129, 132, 133, 142, 143, 151, 155, or natural colour 160b (annatto)
Sorbates (200-203)
Benzoates (210-219)
Sulphites (220-228)
Nitrates, nitrites (249-252)
Propionates (280-283)
Gallates (310-312)
TBHQ, BHA, BHT (319-321)
Glutamates incl MSG (620-625)
Ribonucleotides (627, 631, 635)
Hydrolysed Vegetable Protein (HVP)
Anything identified as an 'artificial flavour'

Annnnnd I need to find some toothpaste that isn't mint-flavoured, and scent-free laundry powder, because apparently even that can Do Things if you're reacting to this shit.

If I go on this diet for a few weeks and nothing changes, I will be flinging all the restrictions out the window, because HAHA FOOD WITH FLAVOUR BITCHES. Seriously, I have been warned, even doing things like caramelising butter or slow-cooking meat to develop the flavour increases the levels of the chemicals I'm trying to cut out by doing this.

If I go on this diet and it helps, well, I'll be stuck on it for a while, but we'll be doing challenges to work out which foods are problems, and the range of things I can eat will gradually expand again.

...still hoping this doesn't fix it.
