Because the bunnies won't stop biting until I get this out of my head. ;) Notes are at the end of the fic, or you can click on the second cut to see them first if you need to check out game-related terms and acronyms.
The light novels that are the original story are MUCH darker - I haven't read them yet myself, I want to get them in Japanese, but I have read a ton of spoilers - and baka-tsuki.org are putting up translations as they're done: https://www.baka-tsuki.org/project/index.php?title=Log_Horizon
*huggitys!* definitely! Now to get my friends that don't watch anime to give this a try! A lot of my friends play WoW or FF14, so... man... and they're FREE episodes! I can stand to wait a week for a new one :3
... I think. I may be THAT addicted. Now I REALLY can't wait for the next chapter of this fic!
*whispers* I think this one's less legal. http://www.waoanime.tv/anime/log-horizon/ The quality's lower, and I really do prefer to watch on Crunchyroll, but this site has the new episodes sooner. :P
Next chapter is being written! I just need to resist the temptation to have another anime-watching marathon. XD
Well, nothing intrinsically wrong with an anime-watching marathon, sure. It's when the plot bunnies are through to the bone and I'm partway into writing a chapter and I stop to re-watch the whole anime because... um... background info! Yeah! I need background info! That's when it gets a bit worrying. :P
No, but you're right, that style of dessert is drooltastic. XD It was kind of a heavy ginger cake, with icing and everything (nommy, nommy icing :P~), soaked in hot butterscotch sauce until it DRIPPED. With cream and ice cream. *stares into space at the happy memory*
Well then!
Ahem. Log Horizon anime, on Crunchyroll (free, licenced and legal! just need to put up with a few ads, and you have to wait a week to see the new episodes): http://www.crunchyroll.com/log-horizon
The main story manga is starting to be translated here: http://www.mangahere.com/manga/log_horizon/
One of the side stories, Honey Moon Logs, has just started translation here: http://www.mangahere.com/manga/honey_moon_logs_log_horizon/
and the first three volumes are scanned in Japanese here, if you don't mind trying to work out what's going on from pictures: http://weeklymanga.net/info-Honey-Moon-Logs---Log-Horizon-1142.html
And finally, the other side manga, West Wind Brigade (Soujirou~!), is being translated here: http://www.mangahere.com/manga/log_horizon_nishikaze_no_ryodan/

Methinks I need to make those links a separate post so everyone sees them, not everyone looks at the comments. *trots off to do so*

(We just got back from dinner out and my dessert was a SCRUMPTIOUS ginger and butterscotch cake... pudding... thingy, so maybe brownies later. XD)

(I'd wager I know EXACTLY what you had. A bit like a lava cake, where you cut in and the filling just oozes out? That stuff is DIVINE!)
