experimenting with interesting new tea flavours, like one called Jungle Chai, which is a green tea with hints of chill, which is so not something i thought i would really like, but its DELISH.

*
job hunting: its tedious, and sometimes sorta-soul-destroying, but hey, it'll all work out in the end.

*
trying multiple mascaras in the Great Mascara Trials of 2014 (non-panda-eyes edition). i've discovered 'tubing mascaras'- which this bloggers list here describes better than i ever could as - "these mascara’s have the so called ‘tube-technology’. It means that they will form some sort of tube around your lashes instead of painting it." - seem to work best on moi. i bought the Blinc one listed there if anyone is at all anywhere as obsessed with defeating panda-eyes as much as me.

getting down and dirty in my first GISHWHES. what a trip huh?

*
seeing Adam Lambert & Queen in concert, Guardians of the Galaxy like 3x (the third time I took my nephews, and they LOVED it, and on the way home, we all had to pick which Guardian we'd be, and Elijah, rightly pointed out that as my sister was driving, she really should be Rocket, which 5yr old logic like whoa.), and all of the new (not-so-new really, not in any sense, I just mean the newest iteration, not the classic series) Who. yes, despite it fully being right in my wheelhouse since day dot, I hadn't yet got on the Who-train (i was SO already on the Torchwood train tho).

but being unemployed means I have more than enough time to fully devote to the cause (bonus? lol) and I have now watched S1 to midway thru S4 in like 2wks. as a result, I would very much like to count each and every one of Tennant's freckles in real-life, and I am pretty much no more three steps from an emotional meltdown most days. lol.

thinking about my upcoming birthday.

*
trying NOT to think about my upcoming birthday (largely because i'm a certain age and feeling not quite so like i have my sh-t together. when i feel like really i should. ugh. tiresome.)

*
getting well into Who, as above, the BBC's new Musketeers series (because bromance and buckling of the swash and Santiago Cabrera reasons), and Outlander. somehow the books passed 15yr old me by, but since i won myself tix to a big screen premiere of the pilot ep on a 'well, i may as well give it a go' type whim, I've got on board with both the book and the telly version (because sexy men in kilts and feisty women and did I mention sexy men in kilts reasons?).

i'm also - cause I'm a total magpie when it comes to books, and incapable of just reading one - reading Divergent, and just started Gone Girl, cos Gin rather firmly told me i really should read the book before I see the film, which looks pretty darn good.

volunteering to help out at the Australian Garden Show, kicking off this Thurs, running till Sunday. i'll be parlaying 15 years of media, communications and events experience into overseeing the Speaker Stages and presentations at the show. hey, at least my skills are helpful to someone. not someone that wants to pay me just yet, but still.. ;)
