1 semester down
1 more to go....
Some very mixed feelings pour moi. About everything and everyone. I have 4 basketball games left. Im not sure if I'm relieved or sad...it hasn't been a good year win wise, but it's been good team wise. I have grown so much closer to girls that I couldn't stand at the beginning of the season. I've gone from wanting

I've been trying to follow the basketball team, but it's been hard. We don't get County game summaries in the BDN. They must only put those in the County Edition that get delivered up North. I have no idea who's been scoring or playing well or whatever. I did see that Kalli was the leading scorer in one of the early games. Other than that, I've only seen the scores.
However the scores over the last week or so have been really encouraging! Loss by only 6 to "mighty" Ashland, only two or three at Hodgdon, and then a win over Madawaska. I know Madawaska is usually pretty bad, but it looks like you guys are really coming together. Good luck agaisnt So. Aroostook tonight!
Who knows. You might go on a wicked run, make the playoffs, win a preliminary game and end up in Bangor one more time. That'd be cool.
This looks like it is a public post, and I'm a little nervous to talk about other people. Things can get taken out of context very easily. However, I do want to say that I hope Kellie is one of the girls on the team you have started getting closer to. I know you guys have some bad history, but hopefully you can both put that behind you and build something positive in both basketball and softball. Dugie and I heard lots of negative things about her from lots of people (including you and the former athletic director) but my personal experience was positive. In my eyes, she's a good kid.
Dental Hygiene and nursing are both awesome fields. I don't know much about the denistry side, but I do know that there are tons of opportunities in nursing. Not only are there plenty of jobs, there is also plenty of room for advancement, and some neat programs wich include traveling to other parts of the country. You mentioned Pediatric Nursing. Have you been talking to Traci? According to my wife, she's one hell of a nurse.
Plus, there's no reason you couldn't be a doctor or dentist. There's a lot of hard work, but don't let the challenge scare you. You are not going to be happy with any choice if you pick it only because it is easier. Find a field you like and go for it! You don't have to choose everything your first semester. And even if you do, that choice isn't final. You can still change your mind.
I think Orono will be a good place for you. There will be some people you know and lots of people you don't. For me, first semester of my freshman year was the loneliest time of my whole life. I think it is for a lot of people, but if you can get past the first few weeks, it should be one of the most exciting times of your life, too.
I'm glad life is good.
Damn. Once again my comment is ten times longer than the original post. I've got to stop that.
