It is WEDNESDAY, and so far, my spring break has been *abysmally* unproductive. (Well, except for having finally cleaned my house. Thank you, Birdy Sue!)
Things I have to do:
1.) Make some media contacts for Derrick Brown, like I promised.
2.) Read "Oedipus Rex." Honestly, I haven't made it past the first few pages. I am really ashamed to admit this, because I usually stay on top of class reading.
3.) Finish my lesson plans for the year. They were due last Friday, but my dept. head won't be checking her mailbox through Monday. Roughly half of my co-workers in special ed took theirs home over Spring Break. Nice, eh?
4.) Mail out an ARD notice for a meeting that's happening as soon as we get back.
5.) Study for the delayed midterm my Art and Literature professor is giving us on Monday.
6.) Read the first 100 pages or so of "The Woman in White" for the above class.
7.) Finish my psych criticism paper on "Where the Wild Things Are"; start *second* psych criticism paper on Faulkner. Why did I volunteer for a second one, you ask? Pure mental masturbation, I tell you. Plus, I *like* being overextended and stressed out. It makes things FUN.
I realize this list is interesting to nobody except myself, but posting it helps organize my thoughts. I suppose the smart thing would be to get started on some piece of it.
But instead, I'm going to go work out. Because it's the only way I'm able to work up a sweat these days, in my lonely single condition.
Sublimation? Yes, please.
