There are these billboards all around town, big black and white ones with the words "Isn't she a little young? With "Young" written in a girly pink. Underneath it states, "Having sex with a minor, don't go there."
There's been a big hoopla saying how disturbing these things are. I agree completely there. Everytime I am getting a slurpie or a comic, there it is staring at my face.
BILLBOARD: Pervert.
ME: What? Hey, I don't sleep with kids. I like my dates not to use highchairs.
BILLBOARD: Well, just in case you should ever....
ME: Ugh, no, that's sick.
BILLBOARD: I'm saying and that's all I'm saying...
ME: Ew, Christ, knock it off...
BILLBOARD: ...don'tsleepwithminorsbecauseit'sagainstthe law.
ME: (shudders and puts hands over ears) AAAAA, gross, gross, gross!!
And it's like this everytime I pass that board. And I've heard that quite a few people have been complaining about the same thing. They don't want to be reminded that there are perverts like that here swimming in the city and they feel it points a finger towards everyone as to being a pervert. Not the best thing for a tourist city.
Besides who is ever convinced by a billboard? Does some sicko say, "Whoa, the billboard is right. I can't sleep with Little Suzy here. Run along and take your teddybear with you." You know they don't.
So, I wish they would take them down. They are way too sleazy.
