So, I know we all pledged allegiance to the Dark Lord today, but have we really thought about good and evil in the world right now? I mean, I'm not going to infer a Manichean world-view where there's only good and evil, but for the most part, there are things that we find acceptable and pleasing and those which deem repulsive. And, yes, I know one man's eating pork is the same as another's baby burning. But I digress.
I'm talking about full scale tragedy in this world. Whether it be human-created genocide, or intolerance and persecution of any kind, or the disaster of the natural sort (earthquakes, tidal waves, ball lightning, implosion, spontaneous combustion, etc.), the world is consumed with it. No matter how many puppies given on Christmas morning or nubile boys helping old people cross the street, the evil things far outshine the good ones. Because it's not the hugs we remember, it's the scars.
To sum it all up: evil's winning. Evil's going to roll through your town one day. And what are you going to say to Satan when his Invincible Legions of Doom knock on your door? "Oh, hey, yeah, I'm a big supporter of Good."? 'cause your face will just get clawed off. You want to be on evil's side before they get here. It's a war. Whose side do you want to be on? The answer is clear: the winning side.
