Snow season
Tis the season for jerks on the road.
Last weekend on my way home from work traffic was backed up less than a mile from the inn. Anybody that comes up century drive often knows that there is a curve before widgi creek and well thats about where the congestion was stopped at. Soooo about a half mile down the road I see that there are cars parked parallel and directly across the street from each other in the bike lanes ON BOTH SIDES OF THE ROAD THEREFOR BLOCKING ALL SATURDAY 5PM JUST OFF THE MOUNTAIN ASSHOLE TRAFFIC!!!!!! This means all traffic is being directed through a one lane clearing between the cars....
Now now upon seeing the SEVEN cars pulled over and about a dozen people scattered on the road and on the sides of the road, I roll down the window to say "Is everybody okay?"
random guy on phone says "Yeah, but the deer is hurt."
Me "Have you called the sheriffs dept?"
him "No, and we cant get a hold of animal rescue."
Now I am thinking the deer is at least VISIBLY injured... and say "They cant help. Besides all they will do is remove it from the road or shoot it." AND ITS TRUE TOO!!! I have had to call in hit deer many a times up here.... oh and now I can see the deer and guess what?! The damn thing is standing 10ft from the road looking shocked and confused but alive and walking......!!!
I then say "Have you tried shooing it away?" Then I get an ear full about germs and safety. I roll up the window and continue to wait for on coming traffic to pass.... I hate you tourists or whatever you were.
The deer was alive and walking. Fuck off.
