Life Goals, Life's To-Do-List
Sometimes I feel like you lose sight of the big picture if you don't take a moment from time to time to re-prioritize what's important to you. I've tended to do this annually... not so coincidentally towards the end of the year. Despite the lack of a physical reminder that it's really the "holiday" season here in China, as our trip back home on December 23rd approaches - I start to think about the "what next". This is a big moment for our company and ourselves as we head back to demonstrate what we've spent the last thirteen months of our lives developing.
I'm excited for the future and the unknown it holds... and truthfully it's totally unknown. I might know I'm headed back to China in January but I'm not sure what's going to be happening even several months from there business wise (maybe just what needs to be done on the development side).
Anyway, I decided to write another LJ entry as I try to do annually or at critical points in my life to summarize some things I'd like to get done in life so I don't lose focus or lose sight that our project is simply a means to achieving my life goals (and not an end in itself). There are many roads and different journeys leading ultimately to the same destination...
Life's To Do List:
- Launch Otrino
- Go to Ibiza for a Rave
- Go to Amsterdam
- Go to a Daft Punk Concert dressed like an astronaut
- Attend Penny Arcade Expo
- Go to Anime Expo again
- Read The 100 Greatest Books of English literature on that list
- Finishing actually writing a book in it's entirety
- Launch my own webcomic
- Fund & Host "Pineapple Massive", a massive rave
- Fund & Host "Dome-Con", a convention with the spirit of Penny Arcade Expo
- Visit Paris, France
- Go to Vietnam
- Write a screenplay
- Get a movie made
- Write my life story
- Go to New Orleans
- Go to Burning Man
- Go to India
- Go to Tibet
- Scuba Dive
- Snowboard/Skii
- Go Hunting
- Bike the Pacific Coast Highway
- Go to Japan Again
- Attend Tokyo Games Expo
- Attend the Olympics
- Try out farming
- Volunteer in a third world country for a month
- Surf
- Tango in Argentina
