(no subject)
So, I'm settling into my new role as Head Boy quite nicely. I think I look good with the 'HB' pin on my collar, and my parents were certainly thrilled to add that to their list of things to brag about. I will do my best, of course, to be a Fair and Unbiased Representative of our Great and Noble School while I represent Hogwarts as Head Boy. ...or something like that
My mum and dad were pretty disappointed when I didn’t make prefect fifth year... I didn’t have the heart to tell them all the reasons why I was a poor choice. At that point, I’d pretty much written off ever earning a respectable position... Moony was always a better candidate for this sort of things… he’s got brains and dedication to share.
Of course, I haven't really had to do anything official yet other than stand up at the sorting ceremony and wave to all the little first years... still, it's exciting.
So... this year I'm taking:
Arithmancy
Charms
Defense Against the Dark Arts
Potions
Transfiguration
Five N.E.W.T.s would be difficult if I weren't both brilliant as well as handsome, but as it is, I'm not expecting any trouble from the classes.
Methinks Professor Dumbledore had gotten REALLY FREAKING blind forgetful OLD. I mean, has he forgotten how many times our group has been caught breaking the rules? Sneaking into Hogsmeade? Running amuck in the Forbidden Forest (okay, so I don’t know he knows that, but still, I’m sure he does) … what about that incident three years ago with the invisibility cloak and the girl’s shower room?!
Well, anyway. Whatever he was thinking, I'm not going to argue, mainly because LILY EVANS IS HEAD GIRL. LOVELY LILY. HEAD GIRL TO MY HEAD BOY.
(You know, now that I stop and think about it, Dumbledore might be matchmaking… I’ve got to buy him something extra special and, unlike his last Christmas gift, not prone to exploding in a comical fashion for this one.)
Suddenly, not only am I dashingly handsome and charismatic, I’m also respectable and official. What more could a girl ask for? How could she ever resist?
This is going to be a fantastic year.... and we need to come up with some sort of 'initiation right' for our likkle firsties... Anyone have any ideas?
