This weekend had progressively diminished in it's happy factor.

Towards the end of it, I discovered that a dear treasure to me no longer exists. I cannot go into detail due to privacy, but this...it was a great part of me and held many good memories. I'm so sad.

My Independence day was horrible. My grandparents had people over who were extremely conservative. After attempting to start conversation and--soon after-- miserably failing, I decided to go down to the dock and watch the fireworks on my own. I did have a good glass of pear wine, though. It was a little too sweet, and strong for my likings. Then again, I have an extremely low alcohol tolerancy.

Monday strolls on and my dad alerts me of a financial crisis that he needs help in. Then my grandfather tells me to pay for the cancellation fees of my phone.

What. The. Fuck.

I apologize for cussing, but this just royally pisses me off. I had spent half an hour on the phone with Verizon to set up the cell phone for my grandmother. Then he tells me my dad better pay for that portion of it. It now belongs to my grandmother, I paid for all my usages. So, now I have to confront my dad about paying the $175 cancellation fee. Which we wouldn't have even had to pay if my grandfather didn't add another line. He knew perfectly well I was returning to Italy, yet his inflated senility lead him to buying a new cell phone.

And I thought things couldn't get any worse.

He has to open his mouth and tell me how bad my mother was to my father. Out of the blue! 'Your mom did this...Your mom did that...I hope she doesn't do anything like that to him again' It's as if he is blaming my mother for my parents failed relationship! I believe it was both of their faults, but I'm not the one to pass the blame about.

Ultimately, my grandfather says it's a white people thing. A white people thing. In case they forgot, I am half European. Even if I was full Asian, putting the blame on all the other minorities is just so disgusting.

SO yes, my grandparents upset me.
