Ready to Live

Wednesday I went to visit a friend (the text message guy) and it was a lot of fun. We watched the first episode of several anime, more than half of which have sparked my interest :) He cooked me dinner, which was very nommable and was cause for much of laughter as well.

When I was waiting at the bus stop, hoping that my iPod's batteries would stick with me for at least half of my long way home in dark, my brother cycled by! He had picked up his recumbent trike at his old home in Zeist, intending to take it with him to The Hague. I was so happy to see him. I mean, of course we'd spent the entire weekend moving him, but nonetheless, I love those unexpected meetings! I love my family too much for my own good, haha.

Then, at night, when I was tucked into bed, trying to get my mind to relax, I suddenly realised I was ready to start living again. Sure, I still have pains on my chest from time to time, it's still tight, still difficult to breathe sometimes, I'm still mentally and physically exhausted, but I'm ready to pick up where I left off. I want to seriously do things, meet up with people, get a job! That, too, was a very happy moment for me.

Next week it's time for my third anime convention as official MangaKissa board member, and I'm really looking forward to it :D I love the prospect of being able to spend the weekend with MK, and with people who are just as much into Japan as I am :) I hope know it's going to be just as much fun as Anime2010. I love MK too much for my own good as well. :3
