After an intensive study of Van Gogh, where I cracked the code that lead me to make a successful duplicate of Starry Night, I decided to see if I could extrapolate that style for a bit and attempt my own impressionistic work. This is actually a rendition of my own abode. It turned out more as less as expected, though a few “realistic” effects crept in the style (the light on the façade stonework) - but it’s hard to make the leap to impressionism in one painting. Still, the intended “spirit” is there.
